Camp Take Notice Project - ARTDES 310 Experimental Architecture - University of Michigan
In this semester long project 16 students worked with Camp Take Notice - a non profit housing advocacy group that is run by and for homeless individuals. CTN had acquired a site for which they envisioned a tiny house village and wanted help imagining what kind of solution could be placed on the property. The students visited the site, interviewed members of the community, researched other villages, and eventually each designed their own site plan and dwelling solution for CTN. The community gave extensive feedback on these concepts and with their input a single dwelling unit was developed and fabricated by the students. It is fully insulated and disassembles with solar panel and battery for running LED lights, computer, and charging phones.
